Yacht Charter Turkey
For many adventure addicts, the prospect of staying put in a luxury hotel really doesn’t cut it. As decadent as it is to be entertained in opulent surroundings, the static nature of a hotel means that you can only see a certain part of a particular country or region. Nevertheless, where can you stay in luxury, but fully experience the atmosphere of your chosen holiday destination? Yacht charters offer the best of both worlds, as the most extravagant boats can be sailed from island to island, at your whim.
It doesn’t matter if you have had sailing experience before, as a fully crewed yacht can be hired, including a skipper, chef, housekeeping and scuba dive instructor. For a more intimate holiday, you can get a bareboat yacht charter, meaning that it is just you, your boat and any significant other that you would like to accompany you.
A variety of boats are on offer from traditional or classic types, to the latest in modern yachting design. As with style, yachts are readily available in a range of sizes, from boats to sleep four to large yachts to host 30 people – perfect for those grand corporate parties.
Once you have decided that sailing the open seas in a beautiful yacht is the perfect break for you, now is the time to contemplate where you would like to explore. Popular locations include the Caribbean, Italy, Greece and Turkey. The latter is becoming a hotspot for such holidays with a warm climate, cobalt seas and ancient cultural gems to explore by yacht charter. Turkey also offers colourful markets, tasty cuisine, quiet beaches and excellent shopping opportunities for those that enjoy variation in their holiday experience.
Away from the mainland, the shores off Turkey house an array of Mediterranean islands including Dalyan, Rhodes, Olu Deniz and Kalkan – ready for you to simply sail your luxury vessel across the Med to a destination of choice.
After a day of sightseeing, the beauty of a yacht is its comfort and privacy. Simply pour a drink and relax on deck before retiring to your luxury bedroom. Or if you feel like a quieter day, you can use the skills of that scuba dive instructor and enjoy taking in the plethora of sea life that the ocean has to offer.
Enjoy A Villa Break in Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen ticks all the boxes for anyone seeking a modern and vibrant tourist resort with great beaches and excellent weather. As this bustling destination is located on the sunshine island of Lanzarote in the Canaries.
Puerto del Carmen is the largest and oldest holiday resort on the island. This is the spot where the first package tourists first dropped their suitcases in the late 1960’s, when there was just the one hotel to stay in and no roads on the island at all.
Today that has all changed dramatically, along with the name of the resort. As back then it was known as La Tinosa, before taking on the name of the local patron saint of fishermen in an image makeover. Indeed Puerto del Carmen has recently undergone a second large scale transformation as over the last year local authorities have invested over 16 million euro here. Improving facilities and amenities in order to maintain the resorts popularity in the face of competition from newer and more novel destinations, such as Egypt and Turkey.
Puerto del Carmen however remain a real firm favourite with British tourists who adore its beaches, restaurants and excellent nightlife. The resort is also home to a decent selection of self catering accommodation, with villas in Puerto del Carmen available from around €500 per week. For those who prefer to let someone else do the cooking whilst they are on holiday Puerto del Carmen also boasts a good range of Lanzarote hotels. The best known of which are the Los Fariones and the San Antonio which both enjoy enviable beachfront locations.
Wherever visitors to Puerto del Carmen choose to stay they will find that there is loads to do here. Boat trips along the coastline and across to the next door island of Fuerteventura are available throughout the day from the Old Town harbor area. Whilst families will love the Wild West themed action of Rancho Texas, which is also home to the largest zoo on Lanzarote. Sports enthusiasts will also be delighted to hear that a new golf course has also opened recently just on the edge of the town.
But for the majority of visitors Puerto del Carmen is all about beaches – and life here revolves around the aptly named Playa Grande which is the largest and best beach in the resort. Boasting plenty of amenities such as sun shades and showers.

The Beautiful City of Belfast
Belfast is the Capital city of Northern Ireland and has for many years been a popular tourist destination for people from the rest of the United Kingdom and beyond. Belfast has a static population of 267,000 but it is thought that this figure pales into insignificance when compared to how many people are in the city at one time due to the influx of visitors. A quick look at an online guide, such as GotoBelfast.com or the official Belfast City Council website shows just how popular this city is as a holiday destination.
Belfast is a remarkably easy city to visit due to the amount of different transport links. It is possible to fly and sail to the city from a number of destinations all over the world, although navigating the English channel generally requires a vessel sailing from England so most people find it easier to get flights to Belfast.
People travel to Belfast on holiday for a number of reasons. It is a city full of culture, beautiful architecture and it is of fascinating historical importance, but a huge number of people travel to Belfast for the nightlife. The Northern Irish are renowned the world over for their conviviality and welcoming nature, and the amount of bars and clubs is testament to the pleasure they take in a drink or two! Belfast has in recent years become a mecca for people attending Stag weekend’s, and it is not incorrect to say that you will probably encounter more than your fair share of large groups of revellers if you choose to visit the popular areas during the night time. That being said, the atmosphere is friendly and fun, and it is easy to be carried along by the excitement in the air.
Those looking for a more cultured visit to this famous city will not be disappointed. The main talking point is of course the political troubles of the past twenty years which still permeate the city today. The city’s population is about half Protestant and half Catholic and this of course makes for a city with remarkable cultural differences. As you walk through the streets, you will undoubtedly see signs of past conflict, and even today, there remains a divide between the two cultural groups, with Protestant areas of the city, and Catholic areas. The City is also blessed with a number of beautiful parks and gardens which are well worth a visit at most times of the year.

How to find the best Bucharest Apartments
For some people, shopping around on the internet is an easy thing. For others, it’s an absolute nightmare. I personally discovered just how difficult it can be when I decided to see some of Europe last summer.
I like to think of myself as a pretty web savvy individual. I buy all of my food online, I always purchase my friends presents online, in fact there’s not much that I don’t buy online. Having done this for a few years I have reached the stage where I know exactly which sites I want to use and I pretty much stick to them. I know who to order my food off and I know who sells DVD’s at the best prices with the quickest delivery times so it’s a no brainer for me. However, if I take myself out of my comfort zone, I really struggle.
Suddenly you are using search engines and relying on their ability to find the things you want. You are faced with thousands upon thousands of choices which can be pretty bamboozling. I was searching for Bucharest apartments and I couldn’t believe the choice. Not only that, but I really didn’t have any sort of guide as to what I should look at. Do I choose a sponsored link? Do I just go for the first result? It’s difficult stuff. All I can say is that you really need to decide exactly what you are searching for and make sure you type only exactly what you want to find into your web browser – otherwise you are going to spend about three hours searching for what you want when a better more specific search would have taken straight to where you wanted to go. Luckily, my search criteria was pretty targeted, and I found a great site called www.luxapartments.ro . From this site I found a fantastic apartment, had a wonderful holiday… and I bookmarked the site for next year!

A Honeymoon with a difference
A few years ago I decided that the time had come to propose to my girlfriend. We’d been seeing each other for two or three years and I knew everything about the relationship was right. The thing was, I wanted it to be really special. I didn’t want to propose and then wait five years to actually get married like some people do – if I was going to do this then it had to be done right!
I decided that I would propose to her in the place we had our first date, a lovely little restaurant which we’ve been back to a few times. I found a beautiful diamond ring. Nothing too ostentatious, just dainty and classic. All of this was fine, I’d been over my plans of what to say a hundred times, and to be honest I was pretty convinced that the answer would be yes. The only thing I wasn’t too sure about was where to take her for our honeymoon.
I Knew that She would like to get married in the summer, and it was already March. I had to act fast if I wanted everything to be able to happen this year so I started trying to find somewhere fantastic, and a bit different for us to go. After spending literally hours trawling the internet I had a great idea – we could go on an African Safari! My girlfriend loved wild animals and she had always wanted to see Lion’s and Elephant’s in the wild. I decided to go ahead and book something thinking that an African Safari would be best.
The day came to propose and everything went perfectly! We had dinner, she said yes, we married in the summer, and we had the most exciting and romantic holiday of our lives on safari on the African planes.
Vacations on Volcanic Lanzarote
Few destinations can match the small Canary Island of Lanzarote for drama. As here during the 1730´s enormous eruptions took place – which have left much of the island looking like something out of a science fiction film. With mile after mile of twisted lava and hundreds of burnt out peaks.
Indeed the scenery here is sufficiently surreal and dramatic to have been used as backdrop by many filmmakers over the years. And most recently Clash of the Titans 3, the new sci fi epic starring Liam Neeson was partly shot on location here.
Away from the volcanic interior though Lanzarote is a more conventional holiday destination boasting lots of great beaches and excellent weather. Thanks to the island´s location close to the coast of West Africa.
As a result holidays in Lanzarote are popular during the winter as well as the summer. With the island welcoming around 1.4 million foreign tourists during the course of an average year. All of whom touch down at the sole airport located just outside the capital city of Arrecife.
The fastest growing resort on the island is called Playa Blanca – named after the white beach that lies at its heart. There are plenty of good quality hotels and villas in Playa Blanca for visitors to enjoy – many of them enjoying great seafront locations and wonderful views across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. Playa Blanca is also a shrewd choice during the winter months as this part of Lanzarote enjoys a great microclimate.
There are two other main resorts – both of which are a good twenty years older than Playa Blanca. Puerto del Carmen is the largest and most popular destination – located very close to the airport in the centre of the island. Whilst Costa Teguise is located to the north of the island and was purpose built during the 1980´s.
Wherever tourists stay it is always advisable to book car hire in Lanzarote. As there is loads to do and see with many of these attractions inaccessible by public bus service. Fortunately rental rates are very cheap and the roads are safe and quiet once outside of the main resorts.
Visitors should make sure they take in the volcanoes of the Timanfaya National Park whilst the many creations of Cesar Manrique also top many itineraries. There are also loads of pretty little villages and towns to explore such as Haria and Yaiza.
Are Luxury Holidays Worth the Expense?
Luxury holidays are a rare treat…an annual thing at most form any. That is, of course, unless you’re a millionaire! But given the tough economy at present, are luxury holidays worth the expense?
Well, frankly, if you are in a position where you would have to take out credit in order to go on holidays, the money would be better not spent! But if you have been saving and have the money to pay for your holiday, consider it an investment in your mental wellbeing!
We work such long hours now. We tend not to get enough sleep and mobile internet means that a good number of us even work when we are on the move! There’s no rest! So a week or two in the sun, relaxing on a beach and being completely indulged is actually a great thing. You’ll find you return to work completely refreshed, sleeping better and, most importantly, with less stress! Luxury holidays can also take you to some exotic locations and afford you the opportunity to broaden your horizons by immersing yourself in another culture. This is an educational experience that certainly could not be gained in the classroom.
Holidays are also often an opportunity to spend time with friends or family. Being the busy society that we are, we tend not to make enough time to spend quality, extended periods with loved ones. Going on holiday with them, where there’s nothing around to distract you, is a great opportunity to make up for it.
So of course it’s expensive at times to indulge in a high end luxury holiday. But is it worth it? Absolutely!
